FAQs
Is Antigua safe for travelers?
Yes, and in fact, this is yet another of the reasons that make Antigua special. The local culture is one of respect for those who visit, grateful for their interest, and honored to open its doors and hearts.
What is the weather like in Antigua?
Just north of the equator, in the Caribbean Sea, temperatures are warm all year round. The gentle breeze from the northern trade winds keeps the heat in check and creates a pleasant climate that embodies a true Caribbean paradise. Summer does have its moments of intensity, with stronger winds and more humidity, but it is still an amazing time to both explore and relax.
Do I need a visa to visit Guatemala?
If you have a US or European passport, you do not need a visa to visit – you will automatically be granted a stay of up to 90 days as a tourist. Please let us know if your country of origin is elsewhere, and we’ll be happy to help get you the information you need.
Begin in the shadow of the volcanoes at Villa Bokéh, where lush gardens, curated design, and contemporary expressions of Guatemalan culture invite you to slow down and open up.
Then, travel to the highlands and arrive at Casa Palopó, where Mayan traditions, handwoven color and the stillness of Lake Atitlán create a sacred, grounding experience.
With two distinct settings, two celebrated chefs and two unique takes on heritage and hospitality, this is Guatemala seen and felt.
